This is how I always have my books with me, where ever I go.
Great series of books.
This series has all of my favorite genres in one. LGBTQ+, Shifters with a bit of other magical abilities. It is not obvious in the first book about everything, but it builds as it goes along. I love the dynamic of the characters in the book, their friend group is awesome, and the way they are written you get an amazing picture of them.
The storyline is riveting for me, the emotional ups and downs we take with Jade in her process after Florida, the stress and the learning and new experiences, I felt like I lived it with her. Growing up with the pack prepared her, but she had a lot to learn about being a were-animal.
In this book, Jade is still learning about her own abilities, when they find out about Pebble, and the family goes to rescue her. The events that unfold from Pebble's past, which intertwine with their lives, become a riveting and nail-biting experience, I felt bad for the characters that were pulled into the craziness, but I think in the end it helped them all to be prepared for anything.
In this book we go through the change again, but this time with Jose and Bevin, and then later on Brooke as well, which came as a surprise. I felt sorry for Jade who had to suffer with her tiredness and energy drains and headaches, and then when Brooke was turned and the events around that... It was another great read that kept me riveted to my Kindle.
Jade is off at college as we all knew she would be, things went as they normally went in relationships, and Jade is suffering. Sarah makes her promise to move on, and when she takes the chance of moving on, her life gets slightly harder in the process and sets off a series of events that will be felt for a while.
The good things that came from all the events that happened were more beloved characters joining the pack.
This one is one of my favorites in the series, even with the issues that they had to face, it all worked out. The Wedding of the Century and all the other wonderful things that happened in this book, and I am sure some future wondrous things might come from it if you read between the lines.
Jade started working for the government, and that brought its own events in her life and the lives of the pack.
I must say... It did not disappoint... the story was amazing, and I enjoyed it, even though I feel like there should be another book to answer some of the questions or elaborate on some of the things that happened in the series that were never explained. Like the reason for Piper's ghost, the connection between Brook and Jade, the new things that happened in this book that have the potential to go bigger... LOL.
I'm sad that it is the last book in the series. I love this series and I kind of wish I could live in their world. LOL
This one wowed me again
At first, I was disappointed when I saw the length of the book, it is a bit short.
But as I read the book, it made up for the short read. I am really happy with the outcome of the story. All my questions from the rest of the series, which had me baffled and wanting more, were answered, and that warms my heart. I would have liked a more in-depth read of Brooke's story, not just the short version that was told, but also maybe some things told from her perspective about the rest of the series where she is concerned. *Wink wink*
Thank you, Huckleberry Rahr, for another great book. I hope for more great reads from you.
This series is one of my favorites, that I can read over and over again. My current count is 6 times.
Now, I had a great time reading this series. I love everything with werewolf shifters or other shifters in general. This series covered that perfectly. Of course, I love reading Sapphic Romance books in general, which this series also covered in spades. Each book in the series, except the bonus book, covers one sapphic couple and how they met and got together. All the trials and tribulations they went through to be together.
The series itself isn’t just about the sapphic couples and all the naughty that happen in the books, there is an overall story that follows along from book to book.
You can read the books as standalone. But if you decide to read all the books in the series, try to start at the beginning.
Some bad witches conspire to ruin the wolf shifters' lives, but also wolves who tend to try the same. There are good witches that help out the wolves and also become more than just allies.
The bonus book is the conclusion of what started in book 1, with the marriage and honeymoon we all waited for. But the book comes with its issues for the couple that round off the whole series and its mysteries.
For me, Harlowe Frost is a great writer and I really enjoy all her books, as you will see from my other reviews to follow.
But here are the books from this series in order, the way you should read them to get the full story.
This book series is about a kindergarten teacher who leads a rather boring life to begin with, she has her best friend Betsy, but she hates traveling. Even to visit her parents. Her mom keeps setting her up with people she doesn’t have an interest in. The person she does seem to be interested in is the parent of one of her students.
Then on the day that school closes for spring break, something happens to change her whole life. Her eyes are opened to the secrets of the universe that the general populace doesn’t get to see.
She accidentally gets beamed up to a spaceship with her student who is an alien. Wow, she did not see that coming, and to make things more interesting this alien student's mother is the one that Viera had her eye on. Things only get more interesting from there on out, when she sees things that are supposed to be imaginary, that are only supposed to exist in books of fiction.
She gets abducted, and that simple thing changes her whole life regarding magic, friendships, and love.
Read the series to follow Viera on her incredible journey. In the later books, we then follow Betsy on her journey as well. But we have to wait a little bit before we can satisfy that curiosity. Sigh!
I had the privilege to read Conflict Reawakened already, and not to give anything away, but you will not be disappointed with the next few books in this series. I enjoyed it and am I looking forward to reading it again!
The Accidental Bite: A Vampire Lesbian Romance
I loved the book.
It was kind of a mixture between some of my favorite books, with the Vampire angle, but kind of with a twist. At first, I was a little confused, but I soon caught on. The story line was great, and the anticipation about telling Dara the big secret and Dara meeting the family in a way that was kind of a lie, but not really added to the hilarity of the story. The twist in it was unexpected, with Fred stirring the pot. I'm just really happy it worked out in the end. I also read the free extra Epilogue to the book and that was just as good.
This book is available through Kindle Unlimited.
Pirates of Aletharia
Amazing!
I really enjoyed this book. It's witty and full of adventure.
Emilia was held captive and her whole tribe destroy for what and who they are, but she didn't give up. Greater and stronger creatures still needed her to keep them safe. They were more her family than her tribe was. She escaped her execution and went on the run.
Captain Maria Welles, Revered pirate captain, that has a grudge against the same people that Emilia wanted revenge from. They both thought they tricked the other, but both had something to offer the other.
Trouble came knocking, but they prevailed in the end.
Goddess of the Sea
A wonderfully captivating read
A nice long read full of action, fights and stresses. Also, the loving moments between our main characters, full of spice and action. I like how they have grown together into a more stable situation.
Aletha sends them on an excursion that is rather nerve wrecking for the crew of the wicked fate. And they are already stressed with EM's dragons circling around.
Now we wait for the next one... What will become of them.
This book is available through Kindle Unlimited.
It took me a while to start reading this series for some reason. And I really can't put my finger on the why.
But when I actually started reading the first one, I was hooked.
I couldn't put them down until I read them all.
The first book, Glass Witchling, follows Casey to college in the 1980s, Magic and strange things were taboo and frowned upon. Casey having magic had to hide who she was from everyone. One of her friends helped her find a job that pays well, but little did Casey know that things will get weird. Her whole life changed after that. Suddenly she could do things that made other people nervous. This leads up to the second book, Child of Three Halves where the prophecy surfaces that puts Casey in danger, and she didn't even know that she was in danger. That is, until she started figuring it out. And then Casey gets a major surprise that brings the prophecy to life before anyone knew that there was one. On to book three, Prophecy's End where things come full circle, and it seems that the child of three halves were meant to bring the end to a war that were raging for too long.
If you like spicy, sapphic, bisexual, gay, straight all of those scenes, these books are for you. Go into it with an open mind. You will be pleasantly surprised.
A Crimson Covenant
A nice long read. Loved it.
When their safe haven, their home, is attacked, and they manage to escape to get help. Arche has her emotional issues, but has to work through them to survive and keep Lenora alive as well. Lenora has her own issues to work on. Along the way, they have to work together for the sake of their home and family.
There were moments in the book that had me shedding a tear, but also moments that had me elated and feeling happy along with the MC's. I could relate to them on their emotional ups and downs.
I can't wait to read the next book to see what the Wayfern in the room was.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Aurora's Angel: A dark fantasy romance
by Emily Noon
This was a spectacular read.
The way the book was written is amazing. The story line had me laughing, holding my breath, shedding tears and throwing my hands up in the air in excitement and frustration, at different stages in the book.
Evie being blown off course would have been a tremendous problem if her song didn't call Aurora to her. And then they went on an amazing adventure together. Until they found what everyone looks for in life. Happiness and love, together.
The Ember Savita Chronicles follow Ember, a phoenix shifter. In Book 1, Veiled Phoenix: They were always homeschooled and after a lot of begging they were allowed to go to magic school. But while there they hid their true strength in all proficiencies. Bad people came to town, wanting to separate magic and non-magic humans. Some of the kids took practical jokes too far, and Ember's secret was kind of revealed. On to book 2, Moonstone Phoenix, More family was revealed to Ember, and it came to light that their parents and the rest of the family were very important during a big part of magical history. A quest for phoenix moonstone goes wrong, and Ember's life is in serious danger, luckily they are a phoenix and not easy to kill. We get to book 3, Battle Phoenix, The family is summoned back to the phoenix forest, and then from there things get even more heated in this fight. Things escalated to the point where innocent people ended up hurt or killed, something had to be done. Phoenixes were revealed to the greater world again. The fight got real, quickly.
But don't take my word for it. Read it for yourself, too.
Spicy Sapphic Christmas
This was an interesting read.
Another book that had me getting all he feels. There was happiness, some tears when there were hard parts. But also, excitement along with the characters.
Our own fear can cripple us and make our own life harder than it's supposed to be. We make our own suffering when we don't live our own truth.
Bunny was hiding her truth for years, until it became too hard to do, and she had to make the choice to suffer or be happy. Piper followed along with her decisions up to a point, but when Jo and Bea entered the scene, their lives changed forever.
Read this book. Lots of feels and real issues in here.
Other books by Eada Friesian that relates to this one with crossover characters.
Made you look (this one was on Amazon)
This book is about the daycare where Harley goes to school. Where love blooms between the director of the daycare as well as the teacher. Rebel gets introduced in this book, and then her story happens in the next book.
Tori and Miranda's love story, that starts out in a supermarket but carries over to the daycare where Harley (Tori's daughter) and Rebel (Miranda's niece that ends up in her care) go to school together.
This book links in a roundabout way with the rest of these.
Haylee and Cherish work in the office of Febe Aarts, and they are all part of the Holbrook Foundation with Alegra. This was also a very exciting read.
And current review of Spicy Sapphic Christmas comes together with Siena (Who is Harley's other mom, Tori's Ex) who represents the artists in the book at the Holbrook Foundation charity event.

The Nightstar Shifters
By Ariel Marie
This series is about the wolves of the night star pack, following each member of the pack as they find their fated mates and all the trials and hardships that they endure to find happiness together.
Some of the books link up together.
Be warned that there is a lot of smut happening in these books. So, if explicit sex scenes and especially sapphic sex isn't your thing, please steer clear.
Inside her: A Sapphic Love Story.
by Lisa J Evans
Wow.
This book! This book!
There were a lot of triggers in this book, approach with caution.
It had me feeling a lot of different feelings. That was an amazing rollercoaster ride with Jess. I got angry at her when she broke it off with Georgia, and then my heart broke for her with everything Li orchestrated. I even felt bad on Bex and Georgia's behalves. But everything that Jess went through to get to the end is so, so real. A lot of people, women out there, are in this same situation and many of them don't find a way out of it.
A few times in the book, I was scared that Jess would give up the fight. But she made it through the other side, and the sun shone again.
Just wow. Thank you, Lisa. Please write more of these amazing stories.
Capture the Flag
I really liked the storyline as well as the characters.
Juno, a fifteen-year-old, has been called up as a capturer, and it is basically a death sentence, leaving her heartbroken because she has to leave her brother behind.
Athena was sold out by her parents because of her beliefs. Both are capturers together in the ring, trying to survive.
They make it over the wall, out of the pod. I hope there is a sequel because it kind of ended on a cliffhanger. Not knowing if Athena is alive or dead, and what about Leo and the rest of the pod people.

Child of Draco (Paperback for now)
This was an exciting read.
An unwanted magicless child, raised in a cruel way, becomes the child that is prophesized to change the world. In the process of her magic awakening, she finds love and friends and found family. The ordeals were rough, but they survived in the end.
Between Nora and Briella, things grew slowly into something beautiful and true.
I must say I truly enjoyed the book and I am wondering if there will be a sequel.

This fantasy series kicks off in book 1 where we discover that Riony and her sister Lyrrin lives in the undercity for safety from Revenants and Dragon lords. Riony does all she can to keep her sister's secret safe and for them to survive. She dries and sells herbs to make money, and on one expedition to collect what she needs, their lives change forever.
Riony has a nasty fall, and while wounded, she ends up in a cave with dragon eggs in a nest. She makes it back home and things change from there. Eggs gets broken, and one survives, and Riony has another secret that becomes their daily life from there on out. Lyrrin gets kidnapped by slavers and later by a grayglim for the king. The story progresses through the books where they fight for Dracuni's safety as well as their own, staying ahead of Kess and Kife, and then in book 4 Kess comes to her senses, on what is actually important in life. Book 5 and then book 6 is the start of the dragon war against the king of that caused the whole curse of the shadow dragon. We also live through the whole ENEMIES-to-LOVERS buildup between Riony and Kess.
This series was well worth the read.
Various books By Shannon O'Connor
There were too many reviews to leave here, but they are next to each picture of the book.
More will be added here as I read more of her books.
What I can tell you is that the way that Shannon O'Connor writes her books, it is to bring out feelings in you.
Whether it is to feel good, feel some tingles at some of the naughty scenes. You feel the feelings with the characters the way she portrays the picture.
Do yourself a favor and read these books. You will love them too.

The Rosewood Penny
by J.S. Fields
This book was a great read in the end
I almost didn't read the whole book, as it felt like a slow start to me, but before I lost interest, the book had me hooked, and I got enthralled with the magic of their world.
Trying to imagine living with Marani and Nuria and also the rest of the gang from the guild, felt impossible. And the way that Marani got exposed was a sadness on itself. The crosses and double crosses in the kingdoms, could be enough to make anyone frustrated into a flush.
I'm just glad for the way it worked out in the end, and I hope that there will be more to the story. Thank you to the Author for writing such a detailed book.

Various books and Series By Arizona Tape
Arizona tape writes fantasy books in the realm of paranormal romance.
She has different series dedicated to these fantasy genres. My favorites are obviously in the shifter arena, but I like some of her other series too...
I have read the Crescent Lake Bears series as well as the Crescent Lake shifter series, which focuses on Dragon shifters. I have also read her Guardian of the winter stone series, there is still some outstanding that I am waiting for. The Queens of Olympus books were also very captivating. I have her The Afterlife Academy: Valkyrie series as well as the Griffin Sanctuary series lined up for reading as well.
So much to read, so little time. Go look at her profile and see what is there for your enjoyment.
by Ellie Roth
I don't normally read MM romance, but I do like to read a complete series. So, I started with this one.
The superheroes and Villains always fight it out for Base City's safety. Climber and Metronome are arch enemies, but by some strange coincidence, Climber's new trainee is Metrodome's nephew. WOW, talk about awkward. Zach want's to do good in Base City, but it is complicated on so many levels.
It all works out in the end for Harris and Jay and Jay's whole family, I am kind of excited to read the next book in the series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
You can read the whole series of this one, or other series by this author.
The series follows Detective Lt. Jenna Ferrari and Dr Miranda Mcleod on their Journey in finding love. They meet in book one, when a student is murdered on campus, where Dr. Mcleod teaches. Detective Ferrari is on the case, and all the cases after that on their path together.
The books follow their path through trials and tribulations, work and family drama. Until they get married, and after the honeymoon is over too. There are more books to come in this series. For now, there are only eleven of the books in this slide show.
I am not going to list the books separately here. They are on the carousel and the button with take you to the series list.
